Riesling is one of the noble grape varieties and is capable of producing a variety of extraordinary white wine styles, and is most known for the sweeter-style German wine it produces.  Although sweet wines dominate this category, there are some amazingly dry and complex wine is produced in Alsace, Germany and the United States. German most famous and oldest viticulture is the „Steilhange“, steep slopes along the Mosella river. No wonder that Weingut Milz can praise such a long winemaking tradition and history. Since 1520, the Milz family has been known as great winemakers in Trittenheim, a wine village in the well-known Moselschleife. Parts of the original 1680 wine cellar are today still visible. Milz’s wines are quite classic Riesling from the Mosel, since they present the ideal alcohol level, delicatesugar residue and an extremely long finish. In 1900, these wines used to be the most expensive in any European restaurant’s menu, even more high-priced than the best Burgundies and Bordeaux wines.

The Leiterchen is a single part of the Trittenheimer Apotheke vineyard is located in front of Trittenheim on the right bank of the Mosella. This region is famous for his 40%-60% incline. Soil is rocky and made up of green-blue Devon – altered slate that during the day stores the sun heat on the west-southern slopes and at night gives it back to the vine. This phenomenon allows the growing Riesling to properly ripen. The vineyard is located at 150-200 metres above sea level and stretches across 72 hectares.

In the 1950s, the Clos des Menuts only covered one hectare of vineyards. Today it extends to over 25 hectares, not far from the historic town of Saint Emilion and located mainly in the western part of the municipality. This wine is a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. The classical dry red wine comes from the appellation Margaux in Médoc. The 28.5 ha estate of Chateau Rauzan-Gassies stretches 28 km northwest of Bordeaux across the communes of Margaux and Cantenac. Rauzan Gassies was founded in 1661 and separated as a small part from its namesake Rausan Segla just over a century later as a result of the French Revolution. Rauzan Gassies is situated on the 20 metre thick gravel bed near the Gironde, close to Château Margeaux and other 2eme and 3eme grands crus classés. The unique soil composition of these vineyards is what makes the Margaux appellation so rich and produces unique wines vintage after vintage.

Brunello di Montalcino is a DOCG for dry red wine in the Italian region of Tuscany.
