Description of the product
Grignolino hails from Piedmont in Northern Italy, a region known for its powerful and hugely tannic red wines made from the Nebbiolo grape. Grignolino wine is obtained from the vine of the same name. Its name originates from the word “grignole”, in Piedmont dialect used to indicate the grape-seeds inside the grapes. According to another theory its origin is connected to the Italian verb “grignè”, this again in dialect means to laugh.
