1971 Barolo Giuseppe Giordano Grinzane Cavour Piemonte
The small village Grinzane Cavour is named after the statesman of the Risorgimento Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, who was mayor of Grinzane for seventeen years. He was elected in 1832, at the age of 22, and held office until February 1849. Established in 1967, the "Cavour"Regional Enoteca was the first to be founded in Piedmont and the second in Italy. Although it showcases DOC and DOCG wines from the entire region, the majority of products are from the Langhe and Roero, foremost amongst these Barolo and Barbaresco.
