Description of the product
The vineyards, from 55 ha, are situated in the areas of Egna, Montagna and Aldino on a level between 240m and 1.150m asl in zones of different microclimatic and geological conditions. Franz Haas has always been recognised as a great enthusiast and cultivator of the most difficult vine, the Pinot Nero and the selection called „Schweizer“, is only in the best years on the market. Another distinctive feature are the lables. They are the artwork of the famous Italian painter and architect Riccardo Schweizer, who worked and has been inspired by Picasso, Chagall, Cocteau, Paul Éluard and Le Corbusier. The first one was for the Pinot Nero Schweizer 1987, presented on the market in 1990. The golden handwriting Franz Haas on black background was a tiny sensation for that time. With the 1997 Pinot Nero Schweizer Franz Haas, comes a personal present meant for a person who is very special to you.
