Description of the product
With a quarter of the Swiss wines produced in Wallis, it is the second wine-producing region of Switzerland. Red wines from the Gamay and the Pinot Noir varieties represent about a quarter of the production. Vaud's long tradition of wine-producing dates back to the Dézaley's vineyards cultivated from the Middle Age onward by Cistercian monks. Who established several abbeys as well as many of the terraced vineyards which are now World Heritage monumentSix regions, as different as they are lustrous, reflect the diversity of the vineyards of Vaud. This appellation “Premier Grand Cru” is awarded by the Premiers Grands Crus commission. Selection criteria are climatic requirements and viticultural practices like that the grapes are 100% from the same terroir and the vinification and bottling must be done in canton Wallis.
