Description of the product
The house of Kessler is one of the few sparkling wine producers in Germany that has its historical roots in the Champagne region. With the expertise he gathered as a director and associate of Veuve Cliquot-Ponsardin, Georg Christian von Kessler founded Germany’s oldest sparkling wine producer on the 1st July 1826. The House of Kessler has always stuck to traditional methods, and used the same bottle fermentation technique. All the top sparkling wines are made according to the méthode traditionelle that the company founder, Georg Christian von Kessler, brought from the Champagne region to Germany exactly 190 years ago. Some of the production is still stored in medieval maturation cellars, where they are shaken by hand.

Les Hervelets is one of the fine 1er Cru locations in Fixin. The Fixin appellation is located in the very north of Burgundy and is part of the Côte de Nuits. The center is the village of the same name, Fixin. The majority of the 300 hectares of vineyards fall under the simpler quality designation Côte de Nuits-Villages, only 100 belong to the Fixin appellation and 22 hectares are 1er Cru locations. The Domaine Romanée Conti, abbreviated DRC, is legendary. The company is located in the Vosne Romanée appellation in Burgundy. The origins of the Domaine Romanée Conti date back to 1232. Champagne Salon is one of the rarest and best champagnes. Even wine dealers are only rarely allocated bottles and when they do, then in very small quantities. A Salon is only produced in the best vintages - in the almost 125 years since the house existed, there have only been around 40 vintages of Salon.
If the quality of a year is not good enough for a Salon, the grapes are used for the neighboring Champagne Delamotte, which has long been part of Salon and also stands for outstanding quality (and only costs a fraction).
Pure Chardonnay from the Grand Cru single vineyard Le Jardin de Salin in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger is used for Salon.
