Description of the product
Pinotage is one of the most typical grape varieties of South Africa. It was created by crossing Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir) and Cinsault. Pinotage is early ripening and has a high natural sugar content. The wine thrives best in hot and dry vineyards. Usually, Pinotage is pressed by type. In 1918, South African winegrowers realized that it did not help the quality of their products if everyone worked for themselves and that there were no standards for a perfect wine with South African character. The KWV changed this and ensured structured trade, minimum prices and harvest quantities that were conducive to quality. By critics and wine lovers alike, the KWV is seen as the benchmark for South African wine. The KWV has its home in Paarl, with the famous Cathedral Cellar at its heart.
