Dry Sauternes is still rare. But the wines will appear more and more often. The cuvée of 51% Semillon and 49% Sauvignon Blanc is immensely appealing in the dry version. White fruits, floral notes, aniseed and a nice sensation of saltiness that tends to come with Sauternes. A small part was in new barriques for 6 months.

Present fruit with fine tannins from the 1er Grand Cru winery Château Belair Monange. The grapes from the young vines flow into the wine, which is classified as Grand Cru Saint Emilion.
Château Belair is a 1er Grand Cru Classé and neighbor of Château Ausone. It has an extraordinary history: since the 15th century, Belair was owned by the influential Canolles family, which even survived the expropriations of the French Revolution. In the 19th century it was one of the most sought-after wineries of all. Then a change of ownership and the phylloxera disaster destroyed the winery's primacy. Of course, it always remained at the 1er Grand Cru level. In 2008 Belair was bought by the Moueix wine dynasty (Pétrus and many more).

Côtes de Bourg is an Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) for Bordeaux wine situated around the small town of Bourg-sur-Gironde near Bordeaux, France. The first vineyards in the area were founded by the Romans. In the Middle Ages, Bourg was a major port for wine and the vineyards developed at the same tempo as the estuary traffic. Red Côtes de Bourg are garnet in colour and are predominantly based on the Merlot grape, blended with smaller quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Some Chateaux still use Malbec as part of the blend. The vine has been established in le Bourgeais for centuries and the current varieties have been selected because of their performance in relation to the soil. The Côtes de Bourg are characterized by the diversity and richness of their soils.
Although the Côtes de Bourg is composed of mainly clay and limestone soils, their make-up is so rich that there is a veritable mosaic of sand and gravel in the area around Pugnac. Three types are predominant. Firstly, the Sienna-red Quaternary alluvium that is quite specific to the region and situated more on the heights: Merlot and Malbec are widely cultivated. Merlot and Cabernet are planted on clay and sandy gravel soils while Merlot is also grown on the widespread areas of clay and limestone.

The Grand Vin comes from one of the few cooperatives - Union des Producteurs - in Bordeaux. The 22 hectares of vineyards on sand-marl soil typical of Saint-Emilion are planted with 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
This huge appellation around the gorgeous medieval hill town of Saint-Emilion is the most fascinating of Bordeaux, with more than 12,000 acres broken down among a dizzying number of mostly small Châteaux. Cabernet Franc has long been the favored grape in most of the region, but the percentage of Merlot, particularly on soils rich in clay, is sizable and growing. Styles vary tremendously within this large area, depending on soil, blend of varieties and vinification and aging of the wines. Many of the finest wines come from two very different areas within the appellation: a limestone-rich escarpment around the town of Saint-Emilion (the Côtes; some of the best are Ausone and Pavie), and a sand and gravel plateau adjacent to Pomerol (the Graves; includes Cheval Blanc and Figeac).

The wine-growing region of Ribera del Duero has ancient roots, but for a long time it was famous for a single outstanding wine - Vega Sicilia Unico. It was not until the 1980s that the standard of wine production along the Duero river began to rise across the board. The poor limestone soils in the higher vineyards favour the indigenous grape variety Tinta del País, as Tempranillo is known here. While the west of the region (Peñafiel) produces mostly full-fruited and spicy wines, the centre of the region (Roa) is known for its powerful and well-structured wines, while the growths in the east (near Soria) impress with elegance and finesse.

The origins of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano go back to the year 1300; the wine was already famous and much praised throughout Europe in the Middle Ages. The Italian poet Francesco Redi (1626-1698) called him the “King of Wines” in his poem “Bacchus in Tuscany”. Silvaner is an old variety that once was the most important grape in Germany. It likes average exposure to sunshine and needs moist soil. Silvaner is generally best enjoyed while it is young. Especially, it is found in Franken, Rheinhessen and Saale-Unstrut. Weingut Höfling is a family-owned winery in Eußenheim situated to the Northwest of Würzburg. Almost all of their vineyards are present on slopes and hilly terrain, and most of all of the work in the vineyards is by hands. The people in the winery work very hard and with a commitment to produce unique Franconian wines that show the qualities of the region. So they uses domestic wood and hometown barrels and like the most prized Franken wines were traditionally bottled in a Bocksbeutel, a squat green or brown flagon with a round body, is by Höfling too.

Château Meyney is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. In 1662, it was a Convent mentioned in records under the name Prieuré des Couleys. The estate belonged to the Luetkens family for several generations, and was then acquired by Mr Désiré Cordier in 1919.
Today, the estate stretches over some of the best hilltops above the Gironde Estuary. The vineyard of 51 hectares is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 30% et Petit Verdot 10%.
The Cru Bourgeois classification lists some of the châteaux from the Médoc that were not included in the 1855 Classification of Crus Classés, or Classed Growths. In the 1950s, the Clos des Menuts only covered one hectare of vineyards. Today it extends to over 25 hectares, not far from the historic town of Saint Emilion and located mainly in the western part of the municipality. This wine is a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. The high proportion of Merlot is a consequence of the iron-containing sand-clay soil and can be compared to Pomerol.

In 1610, the ancestors of the recent owner Meslin, the Gurchy family, were already winegrowers in Saint Emilion. In 1880 they founded the family estate of Laroze.
Château Laroze is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé and its 27-hectare (67-acre) vineyard is located at the foot of the hill to the north-west of the medieval village of Saint-Emilion. Located in the communal appellation of Pauillac in Bordeaux, the Gaudin estate is a secret type. Family-owned since 1901, it has grown from 4 hectares to 11. The blend at Château Gaudin is made up of 5% of the now very rare grape varieties Carménère, Malbec et Petit Verdot, 10% Merlot and 85% Cabernet Sauvignon. The classical dry red wine comes from the appellation Pauillac in Médoc. The characteristic of the Pauillac terroir is its exceptional relief: the many undulating ridges make it unique morphologically speaking. Highly favourable conditions facilitate the dissection of the layer of gravel. This thin, Garonne gravel from whose very poverty springs great richness, has an extremely effective natural drainage.
