Firriato is now one of Sicily's flagship wineries. Founded by Salvatore di Gaetano in the early 1980s and has since grown to include outstanding vineyards. The classically made Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in barriques for seven months, is produced on Firriato's home land in Trapani.

Aglianico is a DOC for red wine in the Italian region of Basilicata - in fact, it is the only one in the region. Wine has been produced here since ancient times and was often served at noble tables in the Middle Ages. The red grape variety was probably cultivated as early as the 7th century BC. Brought to Naples from Greece by the Phoenicians in the 1st century BC, which is also indicated by the name (ellenico = Hellenic). The variety may have been used in the red version of the famous ancient wine Falerner. Because of its strong growth and abundant yield, the early-sprouting but late-ripening variety requires fertile soil, which it also finds on volcanic subsoil. It produces deep ruby ​​red, tannin-rich wines with a strong aroma.

In the 1950s, the Clos des Menuts only covered one hectare of vineyards. The classical dry red wine comes from the appellation Margaux in Médoc. The 28.5 ha estate of Chateau Rauzan-Gassies stretches 28 km northwest of Bordeaux across the communes of Margaux and Cantenac. Rauzan Gassies was founded in 1661 and separated as a small part from its namesake Rausan Segla just over a century later as a result of the French Revolution. Joseph Stanislas Gruaud was the owner of the Ténac, Sartaignac and Merle Crus in the 18th century. He united them in 1757 under the name of Gruaud . in 1771 he left the property  to Monsieur Jean-Sébastien de Larose.  In 1781, the name of the new owner was added to that of its predecessor. The Cru then became Gruaud Larose. Since 1855 it is a second cru classé that produces one of St-Julien`s most full-bodied and long-lived wines. For many years Gruaud-Larose was owned by the négociants Cordier, who also own Château Talbot. Gruaud-Larose's 84 hectares of vineyards are located on a gravel-rich plateau just to the west of Château Beychevelle. Brunello di Montalcino is a DOCG for dry red wine in the Italian region of Tuscany.
