The Chianti Classico Riserva comes from a vineyard 400 meters above sea level - the single vineyard Monsenese in San Leonino in Castellina. The Chianti from the Angelini family winery is dense, a little smoky and shows herbs typical of Sangiovese. Embedded tannins and distinctive acidity.

Castello di Ama is located about 12 miles northeast of Siena in the hills of Gaiole in the heart of Chianti Classico. Ama is a modern estate comprising 500 acres of land, 200 of which are vineyards. Recognition of DOCG status came in 1980.
