The summer was hot and dry and the weather conditions for the harvest were favourable for the making of fine long-lasting wines.The consequences of the war lie in the details of the wines. ... Sometimes the wineries didn’t have the usual bottles so they had to substitute them with bottles of clear glass. Also the corks of wines of the wartime are shorter than usual.
