Château Meyney is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. In 1662, it was a Convent mentioned in records under the name Prieuré des Couleys. The estate belonged to the Luetkens family for several generations, and was then acquired by Mr Désiré Cordier in 1919.
Today, the estate stretches over some of the best hilltops above the Gironde Estuary. The vineyard of 51 hectares is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 30% et Petit Verdot 10%.
The Cru Bourgeois classification lists some of the châteaux from the Médoc that were not included in the 1855 Classification of Crus Classés, or Classed Growths. Notionally, Cru Bourgeois is a level below Cru Classé, but still of high quality. Only nine Chateaux with Cru Bourgeois status take part of the higher level Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.

Château Juguet belongs to the Moueix family, who own the most important wineries in St. Emilion and Pomerol. The winery is located in the Saint-Émilion area and is classified as a Grand Cru. Cru literally means plant. What is meant is a wine with a clearly defined origin that comes exactly from the place whose name it bears. A Cru Classé is a top winery. The Saint-Émilion wine region, with around 5,500 hectares of vineyards, is located in the east of the Bordeaux region. The vineyards are between 25 and 100 meters above sea level. The area is characterized by a variety of soil types, often even within the individual château. The negotiant Barton & Guestier has a long tradition in Bordeaux - it was founded in 1725. Côtes de Bourg is an Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) for Bordeaux wine situated around the small town of Bourg-sur-Gironde near Bordeaux, France. The first vineyards in the area were founded by the Romans. In the Middle Ages, Bourg was a major port for wine and the vineyards developed at the same tempo as the estuary traffic. Red Côtes de Bourg are garnet in colour and are predominantly based on the Merlot grape, blended with smaller quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Some Chateaux still use Malbec as part of the blend. The vine has been established in le Bourgeais for centuries and the current varieties have been selected because of their performance in relation to the soil. The Côtes de Bourg are characterized by the diversity and richness of their soils.
Although the Côtes de Bourg is composed of mainly clay and limestone soils, their make-up is so rich that there is a veritable mosaic of sand and gravel in the area around Pugnac. Three types are predominant. Firstly, the Sienna-red Quaternary alluvium that is quite specific to the region and situated more on the heights: Merlot and Malbec are widely cultivated. Merlot and Cabernet are planted on clay and sandy gravel soils while Merlot is also grown on the widespread areas of clay and limestone.

Château de Callac is a classic fine Graves based on 60% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. Graves in the Bordeaux region is an ancient wine-growing area. The Romans planted vineyards here as early as the 1st century. The wines from Graves established the fame of today's Bordeaux. The name Graves first appeared in the Middle Ages and is derived from the gravelly soil (terre graveleuse). The pebbles are collected and placed next to the vines. They store the heat of the sun during the day and release the heat to the grapes late into the night. This heat promotes the ripening process in a natural way and increases the sugar content of the grapes. The classical dry red wine comes from the appellation Saint-Estephe in Médoc. Saint-Estèphe is best known as the northernmost, and one of the four major wine growing appellations of the Médoc. The area is separated from Château Lafite-Rothschild in Pauillac to the south by the Jalle de Breuil stream and ist vineyards cover around 12 km² on the banks of the Garonne. The layers of gravel on top of clay lead to comparatively poor drainage, and the harvest is one of the latest of the whole region, although this water retention can be of use in vintages of low rainfall. Chateau Lafon Rochet in St. Estephe dates back to the middle of the 17th century. The estate was founded In 1650. While many Bordeaux vineyards were confiscated during the French Revolution, that did not happen to Lafon Rochet. The Left Bank estate remained the property of the same family for more than two centuries. In 1959 the Tesseron family purchased the estate.
The 45 hectare vineyards of Lafon Rochet consists in one single, large parcel with three soil types, limestone, marl and clay. Chateau Lafon Rochet is located no far from Chateau Cos d’Estournel and Chateau Lafite Rothschild in Pauillac. Château de Chelivette has existed since the 16th century near the communes of Ste Eulalie and St Loubes and has 29 hectares of prime hillside vineyards. The history of the Château de Francs dates back to the Middle Ages as evidenced by its architecture, surrounded by a beautiful vineyard today completely restored. It was in 1986 that Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, co-owner of Château Angélus and Dominique Hebrard, former co-owner of Château Cheval Blanc, decided to invest in this still little-known region. On a fabulous clay-limestone terroir close to what is found on the Saint-Emilion plateau, this magnificent estate covers 37 hectares of AOC Francs-Côtes de Bordeaux vineyards. The vines are 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
