Located in the communal appellation of Pauillac in Bordeaux, the Gaudin estate is a secret type. Family-owned since 1901, it has grown from 4 hectares to 11. In the 1950s, the Clos des Menuts only covered one hectare of vineyards. Château Arricau-Bordes, with its medieval castle, is the landmark of the Madiran wine region. Madiran stands for extremely dense, tannic wines with a long shelf life. Wine growing in Madiran began with the Romans in the 2nd century. But it wasn't until the Benedictine abbey of Marcillac was founded in 1030 that the region's wine received recognition. The soils of Barbaresco zone are composed primarily of calcareous marl dating from the Tortonian epoch.

Pinot Blanc has been cultivated in South Tyrol since 1850 and has been one of the most important grape varieties for the St. Michael Winery for decades. With over 1,000 hectares of vineyards, Eppan - the gateway to the Dolomites - is South Tyrol's largest wine-growing area in the heart of the province of Bolzano. The 385 hectares of vineyards belonging to the 330 members of St. Michael-Eppan are spread over sunny slopes. The Schulthauser was first bottled in 1982 and has since become one of South Tyrol's best-known Pinot Blancs.
