Côtes de Bourg is an Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) for Bordeaux wine situated around the small town of Bourg-sur-Gironde near Bordeaux, France. The first vineyards in the area were founded by the Romans. In the Middle Ages, Bourg was a major port for wine and the vineyards developed at the same tempo as the estuary traffic. Red Côtes de Bourg are garnet in colour and are predominantly based on the Merlot grape, blended with smaller quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Some Chateaux still use Malbec as part of the blend. The vine has been established in le Bourgeais for centuries and the current varieties have been selected because of their performance in relation to the soil. The Côtes de Bourg are characterized by the diversity and richness of their soils.
Although the Côtes de Bourg is composed of mainly clay and limestone soils, their make-up is so rich that there is a veritable mosaic of sand and gravel in the area around Pugnac. Three types are predominant. Firstly, the Sienna-red Quaternary alluvium that is quite specific to the region and situated more on the heights: Merlot and Malbec are widely cultivated. Merlot and Cabernet are planted on clay and sandy gravel soils while Merlot is also grown on the widespread areas of clay and limestone.

Priorat is an ancient Spanish wine region that fell into oblivion with the phylloxera epidemic in the 19th century and was only rediscovered by young winemakers in the 1980s and became a cult. The classical dry red wine comes from the appellation Saint-Estephe in Médoc. Saint-Estèphe is best known as the northernmost, and one of the four major wine growing appellations of the Médoc. The area is separated from Château Lafite-Rothschild in Pauillac to the south by the Jalle de Breuil stream and ist vineyards cover around 12 km² on the banks of the Garonne. The layers of gravel on top of clay lead to comparatively poor drainage, and the harvest is one of the latest of the whole region, although this water retention can be of use in vintages of low rainfall. The Chablis wine-growing region is the northernmost of the wine-growing regions of the Burgundy region. The name was very well known, especially in the 1970s and 1980s, and at that time was considered a synonym for a dry white wine. Chablis is almost equidistant from Champagne, from Sancerre on the Loire and from the nearest Burgundy locations on the Côte d'Or. The cool wine-growing climate gives the Chardonnay a pronounced acidity, which the winemaker usually leaves in the wine in favor of the fruitiness. The wines are therefore mostly matured in stainless steel tanks and do not go through malolactic fermentation. The steely acidity, which is strongly determined by the comparatively high proportion of malic acid, is one of the hallmarks of Chablis and gives the white wine a remarkable longevity.

In 1610, the ancestors of the recent owner Meslin, the Gurchy family, were already winegrowers in Saint Emilion. In 1880 they founded the family estate of Laroze.
Château Laroze is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé and its 27-hectare (67-acre) vineyard is located at the foot of the hill to the north-west of the medieval village of Saint-Emilion. The Chablis wine-growing region is the northernmost of the wine-growing regions of the Burgundy region. The name was very well known, especially in the 1970s and 1980s, and at that time was considered a synonym for a dry white wine. German most famous and oldest viticulture is the „Steilhange“, steep slopes along the Mosella river. No wonder that Weingut Milz can praise such a long winemaking tradition and history. Since 1520, the Milz family has been known as great winemakers in Trittenheim, a wine village in the well-known Moselschleife. Parts of the original 1680 wine cellar are today still visible. Milz’s wines are quite classic Riesling from the Mosel, since they present the ideal alcohol level, delicatesugar residue and an extremely long finish. The municipal appellation of Saint-Aubin lies above Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet and is therefore one of the outstanding white wine areas of Bourgogne. Saint Aubin covers 150 hectares and 20 1er Cru sites. The soils are rich in lime and clay. Along with Les Murges des Dents de Chien, En Remilly is probably the most famous 1er Cru location in the town. It is completely south-facing and is therefore an extension of Le Montrachet into the side valley. Due to its southern exposure, it is always the most powerful, extract-rich 1er Cru. The fruit is ripe and characterized by yellow fruits.

Located in the communal appellation of Pauillac in Bordeaux, the Gaudin estate is a secret type. Family-owned since 1901, it has grown from 4 hectares to 11. The blend at Château Gaudin is made up of 5% of the now very rare grape varieties Carménère, Malbec et Petit Verdot, 10% Merlot and 85% Cabernet Sauvignon.  In 1844 Luciano Francisco Ramòn de Murrieta, returned to his home near Logrono in Rioja from England, where he  developed an appreciation for wine, recognized that there was nothing wrong with the grapes growing in Rioja's vineyards. The only problem was that the wine was not being produced correctly. Determined to obtain sufficient knowledge on winemaking to make a good modern wine, he went to Bordeaux, where he studied both grape growing and winemaking techniques. In 769, While Charlemagne started his reconquest of Aquitanian, he decided to establish a fortified camp close to the hillock, “Campus Francorum”, which will become Fronsac. North of the camp, on the La Rivière place, at the end of the limestone plateau which is 60 metre high was the mound that is still called the La Rivière mound.
Perched on the top oh the hill of the Fronsac appellation, this vast 68-hectare vineyard produces wines on clay-limestone plots on the plateau and clay-limestone slopes. René Mortier Quarré who owned the estate at the beginning of the 20 century had the brilliant idea of ageing the wine in barrels in the underground quarries dug during the 18th century.
