The Château Haut-Piquat is located in the Lussac Saint-Emilion growing area and was the first winery in 1972 taken over by the Rivière family. From the elegant wine cellar, the view over the surrounding hills is remarkable: hectares of vines and forest, especially on the hill of Picampeau, where there is also an impressive megalith. Today, the winery has 22 hectares of continuous vineyards on an excellent lime soil, as well as hills with various sand-pitted red clay formations. Here the noble grape varieties - 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc - can express their full potential. Sustainable cultivation has been practiced since 2001.

The Chateau Chantalouette is located in Pomerol and is run by Christian Moueix. The Lambert family has owned it since the 15th century. The vineyard area covers an impressive 47 hectares and is planted with 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine ages in barrique barrels for 12 to 18 months, depending on the vintage conditions. The wines of Pomerol have a high composition of Merlot in their blends are considered the most gentle and least tannic and acidic of Bordeaux wines. Cabernet Franc, known in this area as Bouchet is the second leading grape and helps to contribute to the dark, deep coloring that is typical of Pomerol wines.

La Rose Pauillac was born in 1933 with the will of twenty growers coming together to make a great Pauillac. Pauillac is a small town that, since ancient times, sailors and winemakers has built on the edge of the estuary of the Gironde. In the 1960s, almost all small farms in Pauillac had joined this fine working tool and the wines reputation has spread beyond the local markets. Harvesting at La Rose Pauillac is selected according to each vineyards micro climate and the individual varietal down to the individual plot. Over time the small plots are meticulously maintained. An average benchmark of 10,000 feet per hectare perpetuates the old adage that the less place the vines have, less they produce, thus making the flagship wine, La Rose Pauillac, all the more concentrated and rich.

Château du Tertre is one of the oldest properties in the Medoc region of Bordeaux. Early records show that the estate was owned by Thomas de Montaigne, a nobleman in the 1590's, and in the late seventeenth century the Marquis de Segur was the owner. 1n 1997, a Dutch businessman, Eric Albada Jelgersma bought the estate and invested in the large-scale overall restructuring, thus returning its former noble personality to the Chateau du Tertre. The vineyard is composed to 45 % Cabernet-sauvignon, 30 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet franc, 5 % Petit verdot.

Chateau Lafon Rochet in St. Estephe dates back to the middle of the 17th century. The estate was founded In 1650. While many Bordeaux vineyards were confiscated during the French Revolution, that did not happen to Lafon Rochet. The Left Bank estate remained the property of the same family for more than two centuries. In 1959 the Tesseron family purchased the estate.
The 45 hectare vineyards of Lafon Rochet consists in one single, large parcel with three soil types, limestone, marl and clay. Chateau Lafon Rochet is located no far from Chateau Cos d’Estournel and Chateau Lafite Rothschild in Pauillac. The St. Estephe Bordeaux wine vineyard of Lafon Rochet is planted with 54% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

Château Camensac borders on the Saint-Julien appellation, in the commune of Saint-Laurent-de-Médoc, surrounded by other excellent classed growths such as La Tour Carnet and Belgrave. Camensac means on the water's way, and comes from the words "camens", which means path or way and "ac", which means water in local dialect. In 1965 it was bought by the Forner brothers, who also own the well-known Marques de Carceres bodega in Rioja. The two brothers replanted most of the 85 hectares of vineyards, the balance now being 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot. They also renovated the cuverie and the cellars and hired the renowned Bordeaux oenologist Emile Peynaud as a consultant. he Merlaut family acquired Camensac in time for the 2005 vintage. Céline Villars-Loubet who owns Chasse-Spleen and her husband, Jean-Pierre Foubet are now in charge of the estate.

The Listrac-Médoc appellation is situated in the north-west of the Gironde County. This area, baptised The Roof of the Médoc, reaches a height of 43 metres above sea level.

Franschhoek is located in the South African province of Western Cape. The name of the village means "French Angle" and refers to its foundation in 1688, when several hundred emigrated Huguenots from France settled in the small village.
