Grignolino is one of the characteristic wines of Piedmont and its value is further enhanced by the limited quantity produced. In 1968, Luigi Veronelli defined this wine as 'anarchic and individualistic', to emphasise its strong personality that is not easy to tame; other praises for this surly wine were sung by Mario Soldati: 'Grignolino, of all Piedmontese wines, is certainly the most delicate. In short, it absolutely does not adapt to the brutality of consumerism'.

St.Emilion in the classic way in 1974. The Grand Vin comes from a 25 hectare winery - today called Pipeau - in Saint-Emilion and is classified as a Grand Cru. The winery, together with the neighboring Château Pindefleurs, is owned by Dominique Lauret and Richard Mestreguilhem and is located not far from Château Angelus in the Pied de Côtes area. Amarone della Valpolicella is an intensely flavored dry red wine made from the Veneto and Lombardia regions of north Italy. Amarone wines are made from carefully selected bunches of the best grapes. These grapes are then dried between three and four months, before fermentation.
