The northern Spanish wine-growing region of La Rioja stretches along the Ebro River. The vineyards are cultivated on calcareous and clayey soils. The red wines from Rioja are traditionally always a cuvée, i.e. a blend of different grape varieties. The most important is Tempranillo, followed by Garnacha Tinta (fr. Grenache Noir), Mazuelo (fr. Riesling is one of the noble grape varieties and is capable of producing a variety of extraordinary white wine styles, and is most known for the sweeter-style German wine it produces.  Although sweet wines dominate this category, there are some amazingly dry and complex wine is produced in Alsace, Germany and the United States. This grape variety dominates in Germany and the majority of the white wines produced there are made in the sweeter style. Today, Susumaniello is almost exclusively found in Apulia, although it originally comes from Croatia. It was almost extinct because of its low yield. The hot, sunny climate of Apulia softens the initially high acidity of the Susumaniello. The wine has a nice fruity spiciness. The resemblance to Sangiovese is noticeable.

The soils are among the best on Mount Etna and in Sicily in general - Passopisciaro in the municipality of Castiglione di Sizilia.

A Ripasso is, in a sense, a small Amarone. Through a second maceration from the Amarone pressing, it takes on the complex, intense fruit and spice aromas of an Amarone.

The Recioto or Amarone is produced in the Valpolicella wine region using a special process. After the harvest, the best grapes are dried on wooden grids for two to four months. With over 1,000 hectares of vineyards, Eppan - the gateway to the Dolomites - is South Tyrol's largest wine-growing area in the heart of the province of Bolzano. The 385 hectares of vineyards belonging to the 330 members of St. Michael-Eppan are spread over sunny slopes. The Schulthauser was first bottled in 1982 and has since become one of South Tyrol's best-known Pinot Blancs. The southeast-facing vineyards are located in the parcel called "Schulthaus", above Castel Moos in Eppan-Berg, at altitudes of 540 to 620 metres above sea level, where limestone gravel soils with clay predominate. The premium wine from the Baglio di Pianetto winery is named after the stop on the Circumetnea, the small railway that circles the Etna volcano. The organically certified winery is located at Fermata 125. Etna Rosso is a DOC for dry red wines in the Italian region (island) of Sicily. Sicily is considered the cradle of Italian viticulture. The Domain Chatelain is family-owned for the 12th generation and stands for traditional white wines from Chablis and Pouilly Fumé. The Chablis wine region is the northernmost wine region in the Burgundy region. The name was particularly well known in the 1970s and 1980s and was considered a synonym for a dry white wine at that time. Chablis is almost equidistant from Champagne, from Sancerre on the Loire and from the nearest Burgundy locations on the Côte d’Or. The cool wine-growing climate gives Chardonnay a pronounced acidity, which the winemaker usually leaves in favor of the fruitiness of the wine. The wines are therefore usually aged in stainless steel tanks and do not undergo malolactic fermentation. Timorasso is still something of an insider tip among the wines of Piedmont. The indigenous white grape variety Timorasso is grown in the DOC Derthona in the southeast of Piedmont in the province of Alessandria. The region formed by three valleys is the warmest in the Piedmont. The grape variety ripens early and initially shows floral-fruity notes.
